DIY: Christmas tinsel headband and choker

When I made my tinsel Christmas dress, (see my earlier post if you haven't already!) I had plenty of tinsel left, so I decided to make some pretty accessories to go with it! It's so cute, unique and very simple to create!

You will need:

♡ tinsel in colours of your choice

♡ needle and thread
♡ fabric glue
♡ old headband
♡ ribbon

For the headband, cut of your desired amount of tinsel then use fabric glue to attach it to the headband. Wait until the glue has dried and then you can wear it!

The choker is so quick to make! Just measure the ribbon around your neck to find out where you want it to go. Then hand stitch the tinsel into the middle of the ribbon and wrap it round your neck. And you're done!

Have an amazing Christmas, lots of love from,

DIY christmas tinsel dress

Tinsel looks beautiful on a Christmas tree, so I decided to challenge myself and use it to create a dress! It would be a great project for the Christmas holidays and the results are beautiful!

You will need:

♡ Tinsel in colours of your choice (I personally think pink and purple are the prettiest)
♡ Scissors and needle and thread
♡ An old dress

Simply stitch  the tinsel all the way around the bottom of the dress, attach tinsel to the waistband and anywhere else you would like to make it more festive! This would be a lovely dress to wear on Christmas day or to a party. But only if you want to be the cutest person there! And there is no need to add jewellery! Simply pair with heels, a clutch bag and a tinsel headand like the one I have made (DIY coming soon!)

Hope you enjoyed, I have plently more Christmas posts coming this week!

Get the look: Melanie Martinez

Not only does Melanie Martinez make amazing music (I'm obsessed with her song carousel.) She also has an adorable girly style that inspires me so much.

Her style is pastel and feminine and takes inspiration from her childhood, wearing children's accesories such as big bows and heart shaped purses. The main colours are pale pink, baby blue, lilac and mint green. Her fashion sense is reflected in her music, which has many childlike themes with songs like 'dollhouse' 'sippy cup.' She looks like she takes a lot of inspiration from japanese street style and vintage style.

What to wear to recreate Melanie's style:

♡ 50's style prom dresses in pastel colours
♡ large bows
♡ any kawaii, lolita and japanese items
♡ flower crowns
♡ studded collars
♡ tennis skirts
♡ lacy and fluffy socks
♡ dunagrees dresses
♡ checked and tartan skirts

Products to recreate Melanie's beauty style:

♡ pink, black and purple hair dye
♡ if you don't like commitment, hair chalk
♡ purple eyeliner
♡ black lipstick
♡ purple and blue eyebrow pencils
♡ A LOT of glitter
♡ glitter eyeshadow
♡ daring colours of lipstick such as blue

Hope you enjoyed, who's fashion sense are you loving right now? I would love to know as I always like to get inspiration! Are you getting excited for chistmas? Finally just put my tree up!

Stay cute,

DIY: minnie mouse ears and minnie mouse face paint

I've always wanted to make some of my own Minnie mouse ears. Recently I had a go and realised they are actually so easy and quick to make! To add my own little unique touch to them, I used glittery pink and purple foam. So, if Minnie dumped Mickey, got a makeover and started a blog, these are the ears she would wear.

Things you will need for the ears:

♡ Foam card in any colour of your choice ( I think pink and purple is the cutest though)
♡ An old/cheap headband
♡ A bow or some fabric to make a bow
♡ Glue gun

Here's how to make them...

♡ Simply cut two large circles out of your foam and attach on to your headband with a glue gun.

♡ Finally, attach your bow on in between the two ears. And you're done! So simple!

Here are the finished ears:

To really look the part, face paint is essential. But only if you want to be the cutest girl around.

♡ Draw a little black circle on your nose with face paint or eyeliner.
♡ Using a sponge, dab a little red face paint to create minnie's blushing cheeks.

I had so much fun doing this (because I am such a child) and I think it would be really fun to recreate this for Halloween or a fancy dress party! Have a lovely Halloween what ever you are doing even if you will closing the curtains and ignoring the door (me)

Yellow Sundress & Flowers

Summer has come to an end, the weather has become more cold and miserable. But that doesn't mean you can't brighten up the day with bright pastel colours!

I LOVE the summer sales because I am always wearing summer clothes in winter. It's a shame that the winter clothes colour pallete is so dull. I do enjoy darker colours from time to time, but I just think that brighter colours are much more fun!I just layer up with tights and jackets.

I added a cute colourful flower crown from H&M (yes I bought another one I know, my addiction is getting out of control) I like this one because it is a variety of different colours and includes turquiose blue and pink (which I adore.) It contrasts very well with my yellow dress.

I like to wear this dress either on it's own or with my flower waist belt, because you can never have too many flowers. To make this acceptable for rainy september Manchester weather, just add a pair of colourful tights and an oversized denim jacket! You can also dress it up for evenings with heels, but I'm mainly wearing it college lately. You can wear it with almost anything and for any occasion, it's so versatile!

Do you ever wear summer clothes in winter? If not, what do you wear?

Lloret De Mar Memories

When I'm on holiday, I like to take plenty of pictures because they are a big trigger for memories. When the colder months come, I like to look back over my photographs and remember the amazing times I had. Lloret De Mar is a very picturesque place, all the beaches and scenery photographed beautifully.

I'm so obsessed with the colour of the sea.

There is nothing more beautiful than beach sunsets.

A lovely beachfront bar that had white walls and sea blue furniture.

Fake pink hello kitty merch is my aesthetic.

Night time is my favourite time on holiday. Everything exciting happens, I love to get dressed up and go on adventures. So much better than spending the day relaxing.

I was walking past this church and didn't notice it until I turned around. I'm so pleased with how this picture turned out. Churches are such stunning buildings.

How was your summer? What did you do and did you enjoy it? Hope you enjoyed it!

Day to night OOTD in Spain

I recently went on holiday to Lloret de Mar in Spain (I will have a post on this up soon) and had an amazing time. During the day I comfortably so I'm not too hot and I love having the excuse to get dressed up during the evening! Here is the transition of outfits between day and night on one of my favourite days.
DAY
Vest top: Primark
Shorts: Ark
Flower crown: Ark

The material of this vest top is so breathable and perfect for hot weather. I also love the colour; it's so positive and is the same colour as the sea and the sky. As the top is very bright I wore these black and white shorts to balance it out. I love the print of moon and stars and dream catchers (which I'm
obsessed with!) I put my hair in two cute side plaits as my hair is very thick, so it doesn't get too hot.

I accessorised with my sunflower crown and of course, my all inclusive wristbands.

NIGHT
Crop top: Primark
Flower belt: Primark
Skirt: Topshop

As it was a lot cooler by the evening, I wore my hair down. This skirt, which I got in the sales at Topshop, is so stunning. The sequins on it look almost iridescent. As the skirt is quite a showpiece, I teamed it with this simple black crop top to tone it down it bit.

Have you been on holiday? What did you wear? Tell me all about it in the comments!

DIY: Fluffy and Lace Socks

I've had so many faux fur and lace bits lying around leftover from college, so I decided to make some pretty things out of them! This is great if you have any spare material lying around and socks you don't wear. You can make a cute pair of socks in no time, without leaving the house!

Here's how to make them (It's SO easy)

♡ Get your faux fur/lace and a pair of plain socks. Measure the faux fur or lace around your socks and cut the amount you need.

♡ Stick it down and leave the socks to dry for however long it says on the fabric glue.

And your done! Here are my finished socks:

If you try this, send pictures, I'd love to see them! Have you tried any DIY projects lately?

My flower crown collection

I started collecting flower crowns two years ago and now I'm pretty much addicted. I think they give an outfit such a pretty, feminine touch. Since it's summer I've been wearing them out quite a lot recntly, so I thought I would show you some of my favourites!

♡ Ark sunflower crown (bought july 2015)

I picked this one up very recently in the sales in Ark for only £1! I love the colour yellow and really don't have enough of it in my wardrobe, so this just adds a little pop of yellow to my wardrobe. I also love sunflowers and they are perfect for the summertime!

♡ Topshop colourful flower crown (bought april 2014)

This one was my absolute favourite last summer. I was really drawn to it because it is so colourful! I also like it because it helps keep my hair out of my face. Perfect for humid and sweaty summer days!

♡ H&M red, orange and brown flower crown (bought december 2014)

I got this one to keep my flower crown obsession going in the colder months. The darker colours make it more appropriate for winter. I even wore it around christmas time!

♡ Primark blue and white flower crown (bought april 2014)

This is probably my favourite flower crown to go on holiday with, because the blue flowers remind me of the pool and the ocean.

♡ New Look pink flower head chain

This is not a flower crown as such, but I liked it because it is a little bit different to every other headband I own. The flowers are so tiny and delicate. I think this would look gorgeous in the evening on holiday.

♡ Primark tiny white flower crown (recieved march 2015)

My grandparents got me this headband for my birthday- they know me so well! I love how tiny the flowers are and how there is a subtle hint of pink in them.

Do you like flower crowns? If so, what are your favourites?
